About ME ;)

So the question is....Who is Leesha?????

Thank you for visiting my blog!  I am Alicia, but most people call me Leesha and I currently reside in Little Elm, TX (North Texas area near Dallas).  I have a big passion for running and love working out as much as I can!  I am addicted to "bling" so I usually never turn down a race if a medal is involved.  Every day I am finding new goals to add to my lists.  I love to help others because at one point of time, I didn't have anyone to help me.  It is ALWAYS good to give back to others who are in need of help.  There is NO reason to not share any knowledge you have with others.   I am a Run Leader for Black Girls Run- Dallas- Denton County Divas and I am the Chair of the Health & Wellness Committee for my sorority chapter- Kappa Zeta, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, INC.  My background is in health care and love to help others in anyway possible.  I will soon be a Certified Run Coach and Nutrition Coach as soon as I can get into a course.  OH and don't let me forget my love Adarius and my 2 pets, Max & Peanut.  Will be sure to post pictures of them soon.  I am a very family oriented person and love to help anyone out as much as I possibly can.

I workout about 6-7 times a week which includes cross training, strength training and running.  I have lost over 100lbs (111 to be exact) which I will explain my weight loss story on another page and I am a race junkie!  I love to cook, shop and travel.  I will find a way to run a race while on vacation if possible and will work my schedule around a race as well.  I own a Garmin 610 which I absolutely love and it has really enhanced my running.  I also have a Polar FT4 that I wear when I am not running.

I have an obsession for shoes and purses which is really not so bad although "others" think it is.  I have a pair of shoes for long distance runs, short distance runs, sprint/track work, boot camp and just flat out weight lifting.  Yea, I know that's a little crazy, but it works for me.  I also change out my shoes every 3 months because I just have to have a new pair regardless of how many miles I put on them.  Yes, I know that is crazy too, but again, it works for me.

It took me a long time to actually put the words in my mouth that I AM A RUNNER.  Who would of ever thought I would be hitting the pavement as much as I do, but I am and love doing it.
